Saved Data in System Storage
The PlayStation Plus provides cloud storage services. Using it is a recommended way by tech enthusiasts to transfer data from PS4 to PS5. So it can be used to save your game’s progress i.e. save files. The PlayStation Plus happen to have a way to save all of your game’s progress directly to the cloud storage. But this process needs to be activated manually. Still their is a chance of having things already on the cloud, if not then you will have to do it on your own.
You can check your cloud storage anytime and have a look at save files that are available on the cloud. Follow the path below to have a look.
- Go to the “Settings”
- Now move toward option “Application Saved Data Management”
- Now go to “Saved Data in Online Storage”
- After that, just go to the “Download to System Storage” to see which files are saved on cloud storage.
Note:- If your required game’s save files are available on the cloud, then you can skip the following steps and just switch on your PS5.

- Now, select the game’s saved files you want to upload to the cloud.

Now that you have the save files on cloud you’ll need to download this file on your PS5 console. Files will not be accessed automatically from cloud storage, so it is important for you to download these files to your PS5 console in order to make them useful.

- Go to option “Saved Data and Game/App Settings”

Here, we will be using an external storage device. It can be a hard disc drive or a flash drive compatible with USB connectivity. Keep in mind to check if the device has available storage space. After this, just plug in the device to your PS4 console. Once the device is detected by the console, follow the process below.
- Go to “Settings”
- Now choose option “Application Saved Data Management”
- Select “Saved Data in System Storage”
- And Select option “Copy to USB Storage Device”
- Now you can select game save files of the games you want to play on your PS5.
