Far Cry 6 is Officially Confirmed

Far Cry 6 is officially here. Ubisoft has confirmed it soon after the leaks we got weeks ago. They also mentioned the release date, which is 18th of February 2021.

We already know that the lead antagonist “Anton Castillo” is played by the Breaking Bad star “Giancarlo Esposito”. Esposito is playing a role of a brutal dictator who rule over the Cuban civilization.

The Trailer also confirms the character named Diego who is the son of the dictator. The 13 – year old Diego is played by “Anthony Gonzalez” who is unsure whether to follow his father’s footsteps.

Far Cry 6: World Premiere Trailer

  In this game, you will be playing as “Dani Rojas”, a guerrilla fighter try to defeat the dictator and save the civilization from his wrath. It’s a character which can be played as male or female.

With the reference from Cuba, Far Cry 6 is set on a fictional island named Yara. The city showed in the game brings all the new aspects for modern Cuba and also consists of the classic beaches and beautiful jungles.

We cannot determine the time duration of the game as, the city is burning in the crisis and most of the aspects from game represents both the past and present of Cuba. Anton Castillo has turned the island into his slave and what we see in the trailer is that the groups of rebels are trying to ambush in an attempt at revolution.

We’ll have to wait for the gameplay which is still a few months away. But thanks to Gamerant, we have a screenshot available from the game.

We can see the Cuban setting in the screenshot above. The picture shows a pretty beautiful view of the game with greenery, guns and pirates available to give you the good old vibes of the Far Cry franchise.
