How to Change PSN Name :- Changing PSN name has always been an important aspect of PSN. As, It wasn’t allowed at first. After years of fans begging, Sony has finally permitted players to change their PSN ID. But it does comes with a price? Not at the first attempt, at least. The very first name change is free. But after that you will need to pay $9.99 USD to change the name. And if you have a PlayStation Plus membership, then the change of name will cost you $4.99 USD after the first free change.

Followings are the steps for how to change PSN name for respective platforms:-
How to Change PSN Name on PC
- Sign in to your PSN account on the Official site (Sony Entertainment Network)
- In Menus, Select the PSN profile tab
- Click on “Edit” available near your Online ID and change your PSN name
How to Change PSN Name on PS5
- Go to “Settings” and choose “Users and Accounts”
- Now go to “Account” and select “Profile”
- Select “Online ID” to go to Online ID Menu, Here you can change your PSN account name
Some Important Tips
- You can switch back to your previous PSN name without any cost.
- Changing name might affect your access to PS3 and PS Vita games, as these platforms does not support name change. You can lose your purchased games or in-game progresses, even virtual currency.
- Games published before April 1, 2018 does not support PSN name change.
- If you are facing the issues mentioned above, we recommend you to switch back to your previous PSN name in order to get the access.
- Child Accounts are prohibited from changing their PSN names.
