How to Redeem Code on Steam ?

Following is a brief explanation about how to redeem code on Steam. Follow the steps and enjoy.

So you have a Steam key for example a code, that looks like “XXXX-XXXX-XXXX” and you want to unlock it in Steam. Perhaps you are one of the lucky winners who got the Steam keys from random resources.

Steam Client

So, to activate a product on Steam, you have two options. First of all, you need to have a Steam client installed on your PC to play games from Steam. In here, you just go to games and activate a product on Steam.

Click that, here you get a little bit of text. Saying, you will need a key a CD or DVD key. Never mind that, just press “Next” and then you can go ahead.

Now you can read those pages of terms and conditions if you want. Then, press “Agree” and here is where you put the key.

Anyways just select your key, copy it and paste it in here. Now press “Next”. And then if the key is correct, it will activate of a product.

So, if you use a key for a game you already have you will see error message. And there we go, this was a successful activation. Alright and now you can install it.

Now let us check out the second way to unlock a key. To do so, you have to go to a official Steam website store, you can simply Click Here to register the key. You have to press the “check box” and you have put your product code in here. Make sure you are logged in to proceed. If you are not logged in you will have to log in. This is a key for another game. If the Steam account already owns a products contained in this offer, it will ask to access it in the Steam client.

Here we go, the activation of code is successful. This is just another way to get the job done, but personally i would recommend you to go with Steam client, as managing your complete gaming inventory is made easy in Steam client.
