Left 4 Dead 2 is getting its first major update in almost a decade. The update will arrive later this month. The name of this update is “The Last Stand”. Even after the 8 years of the release, this game has set an identity of its own. Which is probably the reason for Valve to finally give the players what they want. It does took Valve some time (8 years in total) to take a step ahead, but as the saying goes, better late than never.
The update will be available on September 24.
It is stated by some insider that the original plan of this update was just to bring the maps from Left 4 dead 1 to Left 4 dead 2. They were planning to bring all the maps that were never ported to this game. Probably to bring whatever was missing.
The update is going to be free for all players, so basically if you own the game, all you have to do is just download the update.
The development team of L4D gives its success credit to the Left 4 Dead community for their love and support and its still going strong even over a decade. About Left 4 Dead 3, their are no plans about it but will be working on them as Valve allows them to do so.
The Last Stand update will be available for players on September 24.
