PUBG Microsoft Deal : Impact

This PUBG Microsoft deal between Krafton and Microsoft is going to affect a lot of products. As, the cloud deal will be under utilization for PUBG, PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite games. In other words, from now on, all of these games will be hosted on Microsoft Azure servers, which already holds a good position in Indian marketplace. Krafton may choose Azure to store the data of Indian players under the data localization policy by the government of India. This news was confirmed soon after the reports that said PUBG Corp is in talk with cloud service providers in India for PUBG Mobile data localization.

PUBG Mobile is probably the most successful mobile game that has ever made. The recent dispute between India and China had forced Indian government to ban 117 Chinese apps and along side one’s related to them who felt the same outcome. India holds a huge marketplace for PUBG Mobile where about 1/4th of the active player base belongs to the players of India. To ease the things down and to get the game back in India, PUBG Corp has parted its ways away from Tencent games in terms on India.
