Tachanka Rework : It took them so long, but the deity of Rainbow Six Siege is finally getting his rework. It is may be the most awaited change the fans of this game were waiting for. And why is that? Because, Tachanka is an insanely famous in-game character that’s loved by everyone but has no pick rate and was probably the worst operator to play. The fans of this game and Tachanka, have been talking about it since 2018.
Today October 8 is the day when the Juggernaut of Spetsnaz will be available for players to get their hands on the character. Ubisoft mentioned that the pick rate and the way of using Tachanka will be changed after this update. The rework contains increase in mobility, a new weapon (sort of) and a new gadget.
Tachanka Rework : New Primary Weapon
The infamous mounted DP-28 is no longer the gadget of the Lord Tachanka. Now it will be served as a primary weapon which will be completely mobile, and can be used as any other weapon in the game.
The gun is named as DP-27 which may have low fire rate as compared to most other guns but definitely deals the high amount of damage. The gun has a red dot sight attached to it, which isn’t the best thing to offer but it did gives the gun a pretty good look as well as vibes from the past. The DP-27 is powerful enough to make big enough holes in the soft walls and hatches to break it completely without breaking a sweat.
Tachanka Rework : New Gadget
Another big change is that The Lord Tachanka now possesses a new gadget and that is Shumikha Incendiary Grenade Launcher. It won’t be easy to use this gadget as the grenades launched are a bit bouncy, it means the incendiary grenades will not explode on its first impact, it will burst on its 2nd or 3rd hit to a solid surface.
What this gadget goes is that it launches some incendiary grenades that helps set things and people on fire. The launcher holds up to 5 rounds of grenades so it will come really handy while defending the objectives as will can be used as an entry denial gadget just like Smoke’s Gas Canisters.
That’s not all, The Lord of R6 is also getting the Withstand ability which will help him get back up on his own when he’s knocked down, just like Zofia. It is probably the best thing they could offer to a reworked operator. And it is an obviously good choice to give this ability to the new Tachanka since he will be the one carrying the bouncy grenades which can backfire anytime.
Good Old Lord Tachanka, Why We Needed the Rework
We all know that Tachanka used to carry his gadget the the mounted DP-28 weapon which was a bad pick for any defender as they need to be agile enough to make a move or they should be peeking from place to place in order to get the upper hand on the situation. But the Mounted LMG could only be used by placing it on a specific location, and this situation has always made things hard for Tachanka. Since he is holding on the Mounted gun, he is pretty vulnerable to the attackers. An easy target with legs exposed to shoot and a limited rotation to the mounted gun made Tachanka and his gadget pretty useless.
With the help of these new equipment, Tachanka will surly get his glory back. The all new and improved Tachanka will be available for players to access today on Rainbow Six Siege test server.
All the latest news related to Rainbow Six Siege will be available as they arrive, till then, Stay Tuned.
