Tekken 7 Kunimitsu is Back With Season 4 Pass

Kunimitsu is finally making her comback after five long years in the arena of Tekken. As, during the Tokyo Game Show 2020, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced Kunimitsu’s comeback in Tekken 7.

Kunimitsu is a kunoichi character from Tekken game series that made her appearance in the first and second installment of the game. But this time its not the same as before. This is a second kunoichi named Kunimitsu which is happens to be the daughter of the first one (from Tekken 1 & 2). We can see the difference as the daughter is not blind like her mom. This new Kunimitsu is said to be one of the fastest characters in the game. But she might not be as strong as her opponents.

Kunimitsu made her first official appearance in the original Tekkan (Tekken 1). She was introduced as an unlockable character who was a sub-boss in the game under Michelle Chang. She also made her appearance in Tekken 2 but then she just vanished for 5 years. And now the same Character has returned where her daughter has overtaken the role of Kunimitsu in Tekken 7. Both the mother and daughter wear Fox masks, and use same close range weapons. According to reports, the DLC will not be available till spring 2021.

Who is Kunimitsu?

Kunimitsu used to be a petty thief. Who later on joined the Manji clan to improve her skills. Her focus was to learn new and better techniques which can be of use to her in her act of theft. In the Manji Clan, she got to learn the Ninjutsu as well as got swiftness in her movement. The agenda of the clan was to rob the rich and give it to the poor. But Kunimitsu began to steal from the Clan’s fund. When Yoshimitsu, the head of Manji Clan found out about it, he banished her from the clan.

After getting banished from the clan, Kunimitsu used to mend air conditioners to make a living. It was the time when she heard about the treasure held by a young woman, who was sought by Heihachi Mishima, the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Kunimitsu wanted to win the treasure and with that thought in mind she entered in the first even King of Iron Fist Tournament. Unfortunately she lost to Michelle Chang in the battle.

Later she found out that the sword held by Yoshimitsu (which is also known as Yoshimitsu) was a priceless artifact, passed down to the generations of Manji Clan. To steal that sword, Kunimitsu again decides to enter second King of Iron Fist Tournament to face her former Mater, the clan leader Yoshimitsu. Yet she again fails.

After facing 2 consecutive loses, she abandons the Iron Fist tournament. Years later she gives birth to her daughter, the second Kunimitsu. After the birth of the successor of Kunimitsu, the existence of the first one is unknown.
