How to Play BGMI on PC :- The diligent efforts of Krafton has paid off as the South Korean game developer company manages to bring back the banned game PUBG Mobile in India. Krafton has launched an India only variant of the game with a new name “Battleground Mobile India (BGMI)”. The game launched in June of this ear in Beta version. And now the game has been officially launched for Android platform (no update of BGMI for iOS and emulator support). But no need to worry, for the true gamer within you, here is a step by step guide on how to play BGMI on PC.

Just to let you know, their are multiple emulators available over the internet but we recommend you to go for Bluestacks 5, as it is the only android emulator that supports BGMI officially and runs it effortlessly. Their is a chance you may get the “Server Busy” error while trying to run the game on other emulators.
Following are the steps that will help you to download, install and play BGMI on PC. So lets see how to play BGMI on PC.
Download BlueStacks 5
First, hop on to the official website of BlueStacks and download BlueStacks 5. Just keep in mind that we need BlueStacks 5 in order to play Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) on PC. Compatibility and service issues can be seen in earlier versions. So wasting time, data and effort is futile.
As shown in the picture above, you will find a direct download buttons named as “Play on BlueStacks 5” and “Retry Download” to manually download the emulator. After downloading, click “Install Now” to get started with the installation.
Install BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India)
Once the installation of Bluestacks 5 is completed, you will get an Android like interface inside a window. Here, go to the Google Play Store icon on the home screen. Since you have just started the emulator for the very 1st time, you will have to login to your Google account in order to use google applications.
After logging in, you will have a standard Play Store interface. In which, click on the search bar and enter “Battlegrounds Mobile India”. It will show you the list of games, make sure to choose the one provided by Krafton Inc. Now, click on “Install” to download the game.
Once the installation of BGMI is completed, to launch the game, click “Open” in the same window or you can find the game’s icon on the home screen of your BlueStacks 5.
Next, after the game is launched, you will have to login into the game using your Facebook, Twitter or Google account. You might retrieve your previous game data and accessories if you have transferred data while it was happening.
After that, you will be asked to choose between the resource packs of high-end (619.8 MB) and low-end (381.3 MB).. Choose according to the specifications of your PC.
As the download is completed, the game will ask you to go through the privacy policy and will verify if your age is above 18 or not. Keybindings for BGMI in BlueStacks 5
Keybinding will play an important role in your gaming experience while playing BGMI through an emulator. Well, BlueStacks has it all sorted. BlueStacks has an “Advanced Editor” to get thing ready in no time.
First of all, we will organize the settings in BGMI. To do that, go to the Settings in BGMI (while on the home screen, click on the upward arrow available at the lower right corner to find Settings).
Now go to “Controls” option available at the right sidebar. You will see a “Customize” button on the left side panel (default one is recommended). This step will take you to BGMI’s own control remapping interface having all the in-game buttons available for the user to interact.
Once you a in the key layout interface, you will be able to see all the buttons available in the game as shown in the image. Now, take a look at the side panel provided by BlueStacks and look for “Game Controls” option. Click on it and then choose “Open advanced editor”.
Now you can see the BGMI keys with a Key input above them which will be used to access that specific button. Here you can also assign keys to any of the controls of your choice. To add a key for a control, first, you’ll have to add a tap spot over it from the right side panel. Here you will have to assign a key to it. For example, you can remap the free cursor control from “F1” to “ctrl” (with reference to old emulators), you can do that easily.
Bonus Tips
Followings are some tips and tricks for how to play BGMI on PC with a better gameplay experience. Make sure to choose the best options with respect to your PC’s configuration.
- Go to BlueStacks settings : press “Ctrl + Shift + I”, go to the “Graphics” tab on the left, Make sure to use the dedicated GPU. You might want to enable “Prefer dedicated GPU” if it’s not already on.
- Go to “Device Settings” tab on the left, we recommend you to choose “Device profile” as any flagship device. It will help the emulator to run the game more efficiently. Choose something like Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra or OnePlus 9 Pro or Asus ROG 5.
- Go to “Performance” tab on the left, switch on the “Enable high frame rate”. Choose the frame rate slide with respect to your PC’s specification. You can also enable VSync (recommended mostly for the screen tearing issue).
- Turn on the “Display FPS during gameplay” option if you want to see if your PC is generating enough FPS with respect to your expectations.
